ANNA – PARALYMPIC HOPEFUL

I love the sense of community we have here at the National Ability Center! We’re all friends, we’re all family- we’re all working towards the same goal of getting people with disabilities involved with sport. When I walk into the NAC, everyone is smiling, and everyone knows each other. It really is like a family here!

On September 5th, 2011, Anna took her thrill-seeking to new heights when, as a 17 year old college student, she attempted to hop a moving freight train. Unfortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful, and resulted in the traumatic amputation of both legs when she tripped and was sucked under the train cars. Since then, she has made it her goal and her focus to compete in the Paralympic World Games as a seated Alpine ski racer. Learn More…
